A superb large Art Deco solid silver Sugar Shaker/Caster.  Beautifully formed, the body is a lovely baluster shape which stands on a single circular foot. The pull- -off top is neatly pierced with graduating vertical lines adding to the wonderful art deco appearance and there is a neat finial to the top.

Clear, crisp hallmarks are visible on one side for The Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1937,  along with the Lion Passant for sterling silver and the maker's marks for the renowned silversmiths:  Mappin & Webb.  Partial hallmarks can also be seen on the lip of the lid.

An exceptional item of the finest quality where attention to the smallest detail can be seen in the craftmanship of the silversmith, nice to hold and a good heavy weight and size. Would make a wonderful gift for any occasion.

Condition:  In tip top antique collector's condition.  No dents or marks to the silver
