A fine George III silver caddy spoon by Thomas Johnson. A lovely example, this caddy is in smooth polished silver with a wide elliptical bowl which joins seamlessly to a gently curving handle. Shaped simply with a heraldic style, a shield top and three pointed finial top the handle. The caddy spoon bears the engraved initials F.W.E. upon the handle and has a lovely polished finish all over..

A lovely collectible spoon with just one scratch visible to the underside of the bowl, otherwise in super antique condition.

Hallmarks:  London Assay Office 1805 by Thomas Johnson with the Lion Passant mark for sterling silver.
